Governance & Policy
We incorporate sustainability into the core of our business to drive transformative change and reduce our environmental impact.
Our Environmental Policy
We recognise the need for us all to contribute to the sustainability of the planet’s natural resources. We believe sustainable development means adopting business strategies, activities and processes that meet the needs of the company and its stakeholders today while protecting, sustaining and enhancing the human and natural resources that will be needed in the future.
Our Environmental Policy forms an important part of our journey towards sustainable development. Our objectives focus on materials, water, greenhouse gas emissions & energy, waste and air pollution.

UN Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define global sustainable development priorities and aspirations for 2030 and seek to mobilize global efforts around a common set of goals and targets.
As a business with a far-reaching global footprint, we believe it is our duty to contribute towards the UN’s SDGs. Through comprehensive mapping of our environmental impacts we have identified that ten goals and their respective targets are particularly relevant to our business. Through driving transformative change in these areas, we will fulfil our duty in advancing the sustainable development of the planet.
We are now a signatory of the UN Global Compact.
SOCIAL POLICIES
Socio-economic sustainability also forms an important part of our growth path for the business. This means that our personnel, at all our global facilities are treated fairly and with respect; this is part of the core values of ITL. We therefore, have made available our formal policies on our approach to social and labour conditions and procedures.

ANCIENT AND ENDANGERED FOREST CONSERVATION VISION AND FOREST FIBRE PROCUREMENT POLICY
We recognise the impact that paper and paper packaging production has on forests, species and the climate and, therefore, the need to ensure the adoption of environmentally and socially responsible paper and paper packaging sourcing and production.
We are thrilled to be the first packaging manufacturer to develop a Pack4Good policy with Canopy. We will work in partnership with our strategic supply partners, customers, and Canopy to identify the sources of paper and forward conservation of the world’s critical high carbon value (HCS) and biodiverse (HCV) forest ecosystems.
